Our Story

Petrix was built around one simple observation: evening walks are one of the most important parts of a dog's day, and one of the most overlooked from a safety perspective.

Every night, dog owners head out into low light, busy streets, and unpredictable conditions with their dogs. Most rely on whatever collar their dog already wears and hope that drivers, cyclists, and other pedestrians can see them in time.

We didn't think that was good enough. So we set out to build something better.

Our Journey

Petrix started with the GlowTrail  a rechargeable LED dog collar engineered specifically for night walks. Not a gimmick. Not a cheap flashing clip. A properly built, IPX7 waterproof, USB-C rechargeable collar with genuine LED visibility from over 100 metres in any direction.

We spent months researching what dog owners actually needed on evening walks  brightness that cuts through darkness, a fit that stays secure on every breed, waterproofing that handles real Australian weather, and the convenience of never replacing a battery again.

The result is the most capable night walk collar we could build. And because we know safety doesn't stop at visibility, we built in an integrated AirTag slot so you can track your dog's location via Find My on your iPhone even when the LED is off.

The GlowTrail is IPX7 rated submersion-safe up to one metre for 30 minutes. The LED system is powerful enough to be seen from over 100 metres. The nylon construction is lightweight enough that dogs forget they're wearing it. And the USB-C charging means a full charge in under two hours, with 6–8 hours of battery life on a single charge.
